In my Aboriginal Education and Contexts for Professional and Personal Engagement class our final exam included a paper where students were asked to comment on the insights of the course, and how they are influential on the pre-service teacher. I chose to comment on the interconnectedness of the discussed topics, which ultimately appeared to infuse racism into society, and how it was the fiduciary responsibility of teachers to fulfill the terms of Canadian treaties to provide equal opportunity for their students.
