In my Curriculum and Teaching in Secondary School for Career and Technology Studies Majors we created a lesson plan that incorporated two or more other subjects. I chose to use Indigenous beading techniques to combine knowledge about textile surface design, social studies and mathematics. I believe that this simple lesson could build on a whole unit, and really allows students to apply their learning from core subjects into the arts.
